Bartow Spaces is operated by JM Prop 3 LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Bartow Spaces,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit bartowspaces.com, submit a form, rent a space, call or text us, or otherwise interact with our facility at 1590 N Park Ave, Bartow, FL 33830.

Information We Collect

Information you provide: name, phone number, email address, mailing address, government-issued ID, vehicle information, alternate contact information, business information for commercial tenants, and payment information.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and cookie or analytics data when you use our website.

Communications: records of calls, text messages, emails, and web form submissions, including the date, time, and phone number of any SMS consent you give. Calls may be recorded and may be answered by an automated or AI-assisted system for quality, training, and record-keeping purposes. By continuing a call with us, you consent to it being recorded.

Facility security: video surveillance footage and access records at our property.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to inquiries, reservations, and rental requests
  • Process rental agreements, payments, and account activity
  • Send account-related messages, including payment reminders, payment links, late notices, and lien notices
  • Send facility announcements, such as access changes, weather alerts, and maintenance updates
  • Send promotional offers, only where you have separately opted in
  • Maintain facility safety and security
  • Comply with Florida law, including the Florida Self-Storage Facility Act (Fla. Stat. §§ 83.801–83.809), and enforce our rental agreements

SMS / Text Messaging

How you opt in: You consent to receive text messages from Bartow Spaces in one of two ways:

  1. Rental agreement: by signing our rental agreement and initialing its Consent to Electronic Communications clause. You can view the clause at https://www.bartowspaces.com/sms-consent/.
  2. Website: by checking the optional SMS consent box on the contact form or pop-up at bartowspaces.com. The box is unchecked by default and is not required to submit the form.

Types of messages: inquiry replies, reservation and move-in confirmations, payment reminders, payment links, balance and late notices, lien notices, and facility announcements. You will receive promotional offers only if you separately opt in to marketing texts.

Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your account activity.

Costs: Message and data rates may apply.

Opt out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You’ll receive one confirmation message and no further texts. Reply START to opt back in. Opting out of texts does not cancel your rental agreement or change your obligations under it. Required notices will still be sent by mail or email.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. Agreeing to receive marketing texts is never required to rent a space.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No sharing of mobile information. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all information-sharing described in this policy.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run our business:

  • Service providers that operate on our behalf, such as property management software, payment processors, phone and text messaging providers, email providers, website hosting, and tenant protection plan providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Legal and lien requirements: Under Florida law, if an account becomes delinquent, we may send lien notices and advertise a lien sale, including through online auction platforms. These notices may include the tenant’s name and unit information as permitted or required by law.
  • Law enforcement and legal process: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the safety of our tenants, staff, or property.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a sale, merger, or transfer of the facility or business.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. Payment card data is processed by PCI-compliant third-party processors, and we do not store full card numbers. If a breach of personal information occurs, we will provide notice as required by the Florida Information Protection Act (Fla. Stat. § 501.171).

Data Retention

We keep your information as long as your account is active and afterward as needed for legal, tax, lien, dispute, and record-keeping purposes, including records of SMS consent and opt-outs.

Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar tools to understand site traffic and improve performance. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some site features may not work properly if you do.

Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Renters must be at least 18.
